Welcome to Shattered Mirrors. Before you get started, here are some general rules you must obey once becoming a member of this forum and community.

- There is no sexual, drug related, or prejudiced remarks, to other members, or during out of character chat.
- No cursing, swears, and mean comments to others.
- Chat speak shows illiteracy. If you know how to write, use that ability correctly please.
- This site always most members of any age to join. Warnings should be placed in a thread if the content is too explicit for those of a younger age.
- When making an account, the name of your first wolf character does not need to be in your display name. It would be helpful if you only were to have one wolf, though. There is no limit to characters on this site. We would appreciate it if you kept it to a minimum of 5 so you can keep track of them.

Your Character

- This is a fantasy wolf rpg. We only allow wolves. No mixes. You can however pick from a list of wolf sub-species.
- No extravagant markings and colors (meaning, being covered in neon blue with lime green zebra stripes is a no-go). No man-made objects like jewelery either.
- Powers and elements are iffy. If the wolf is part of that sub-species, then okay, but you'll need a thumbs up from the admin before you can have your wolf too powerful.
- Wings and other features are allowed, but you will be notified if something is wrong.
- Remember that no one is perfect. Even wolves have flaws.
- The picture for your wolf can be a drawing, a photo, or a graphic. Make sure that you have permission to use the picture if you don't already know you can use it. If something was made for you, credit the person if it isn't already on the image. No stealing.

During Roleplay

- Power-play is taking control over another character. We don't allow it, unless one has given the permission to the other. God-moding is acting godly or invincible. This isn't accepted, either. Though alphas and wolves with certain powers are sometimes excused, this won't be tolerated.
- You must obey the wolves higher ranked than you! We know if you disagree, you can express that opinion. In the end, you're going down.
- We hope that you know how to read and write, know your grammar and how to spell. Keep posts to a 5-7 sentence long paragraph. It's not that hard.
- Your wolf may be violent and have a vulgar vocabulary. Don't overdo it, though.
- Before posting in roleplay with a character, they must have an accepted profile up.
- Mating is done during spring, and very rarely during late spring or early summer. You should ask an admin for permission to breed with your mate. Force breeding is allowed, though not encouraged. Ask the female in a pm before force breeding. Female wolves are pregnant for about 60 days, but here we allow 30 real life days to go by before the character gives birth. 4-6 pups may be born. Over that is rare and only allowed if you get special permission. A smaller litter will be born to a force bred female. Graphic breeding is allowed as long as there is a warning in the thread's title. You may just state that the male and female "mated."
- Graphic fighting is allowed. You have to ask the other roleplayer for permission to inflict critical damage to their opponent. Alphas may intervene and break it up, but this may not happen. A wolf can die, you may say that the other can kill your character, or you must ask if you can kill it. Usually, it would be best if you had a reason to fight, such as for food, a mate, or rank. Other things could really piss the wolf off, but we like to refrain from senseless fighting.
- As for hunting, one wolf can catch a rabbit or bird, but cannot take down elk. More than one wolf must take on a large animal of prey. It is best if they are sick or injured, or a young one. For a healthy adult large animal, four or more experienced wolves should do the trick.
- Lone wolves are only allowed to roam the neutral areas. If they wander into claimed territory, they can be greeted warmly, or attacked and chased out. Usually, they should ask permission to enter the land. Loners should ask alphas to join the ranks of their pack.

And those are the rules! Feel free to go here and create your wolf profile! Also check out the other information about the site.
